Bio

Kevin Pincus is an abstract painter living and working in San Francisco California. He holds an MFA in painting and drawing from the University Of Hawaii Manoa and a BA from Jacksonville University in Florida.

In 2002 he relocated to San Francisco to immerse himself among his contemporaries and further his development and career as a professional painter. With his studio located in the Mission District of San Francisco, Kevin spends his nights working as a full-time painter and his days working as a full-time carpenter. He believes it is important to maintain an aggressive studio discipline.

Among his influences are the abstract expressionist sculptor David Smith, and painters such as Willem de Kooning, and Franz Kline. His contemporary influences include Robert Irwin, Cecily Brown, Sandow Birk and Bay Area painter John Dipaolo.
